Questions crews ask us
How does ERS Installations work for a crew?
Contractors and general contractors across Florida hire ERS for installation labor. We scope the job, schedule it, manage the customer and the inspections, invoice the contractor and collect. Your crew installs and is paid by ERS. You never have to sell a job or chase a builder for money.
Can I choose 1099 or W-2?
Yes. Run your own crew as an independent contractor (1099) and invoice ERS per job, or come on as a W-2 employee on the ERS payroll. Pick what fits you on the application and we'll talk it through on the first call.
Do I need my own insurance?
1099 crews carry their own general liability, and workers' comp or a valid Florida exemption. We'll take the certificates you have today as placeholders; before your first job they need to name Extreme Roofing Solutions as additional insured. W-2 hires are covered under ERS.
Do I have to buy material?
No. Turnkey jobs come with ERS Metals panels, trim and accessories delivered to the site. Labor-only jobs use material the contractor supplies. Either way you install, you don't haul.
Where are the jobs?
Statewide in Florida, with a Northeast Florida base. You tell us your home base and how far you'll travel, and we match you with work in that range.
Does the work-authorization question affect my application?
No. You can submit with any answer, or none. We ask so we can set up the right paperwork and the right classification, and a coordinator will talk with you either way.
What systems do you need crews for?
Standing seam, 5V crimp, PBR and rib panel, shingle, modified bitumen, TPO, tile, DuraDek and TileDek, plus repairs and gutters. Metal crews are especially in demand.
